FlowYard

One yard.
Every flow.

FlowYard runs the daily work of a feedlot in one app: bunk calls, feed, the mill, cattle, health, pens, machines, safety and the environment . It's on the phone in the pen, and the office sees it as it happens.

How it works

A day at the yard in FlowYard

The crew records the work as they do it, on their phones. The rest of the yard sees it straight away.

  1. Pre-starts before the engines run

Each operator types their name and ticks through the checklist for their machine. Anything faulty goes straight to FixFlow.

    PlantFlow · FixFlow
  2. Mill stock and grain in

Silos, bays and liquid tanks are counted. Grain deliveries are logged with their sample results.

    MillFlow
  3. Bunk calls and feed out

The bunk caller scores each pen. FlowYard works out the call, and the feed sheet goes to the mixers and delivery trucks.

    BunkFlow
  4. Pen riding and health

Pulls, treatments and hospital pens are recorded. Withholding periods follow the pen all the way to trucking.

    HerdFlow · HealthFlow
  5. Speak up about safety

Anyone can report a hazard, near miss or incident in a minute, with a photo. A manager follows it until it is fixed.

    SafeFlow
  6. Heat watch, pens and water

Panting scores on hot days. Pens are cleaned, water troughs checked lane by lane, and ponds and the rain gauge recorded.

    HeatFlow · PenFlow · WaterFlow · EnviroFlow
  7. Reports for the manager

Who did what and when, ready as a PDF, with late checks and open repairs flagged. Feed cost and cost of gain for every lot.

Why FlowYard

Made in a working feedlot

Built by a feedlot manager

FlowYard was built by a licensed agricultural engineer who runs feeding and milling at a commercial feedlot. It follows how a yard really works.

Set up for your yard

Your pens, lanes, paddocks, silos, bays, tanks, machines and work times, with your own names for them. All set in one place, BrainFlow.

The right access for each person

Staff open only their products. Managers see everything. View-only accounts can look without changing a thing.

Phones first

Big buttons and short forms for gloves, dust and early starts. It works on any phone, tablet or office computer.

Every record has a name and a time

Each entry shows who made it and when, so nothing is lost between shifts.

Your data stays yours

Each feedlot has its own private FlowYard with its own web address. Your records are never shared with another yard.
